2017 Toys for Tots

The Sparta Train Station once again welcomed Santa and US Marines for the Toys for Tots “Operation Toy Train” December 2nd 2017! The train, loaded with donated toys, arrived around 3:15pm and Santa disembarked to greet local families inside the Sparta Train Station.

Children and their families were able to get a special photo with Santa. It was the second year for this event at the Sparta Train Station and it was a huge success! As the last stop for the train, which collects thousands of toys throughout the day, many volunteers helped load toys into trucks to distribute to kids this holiday season. This year all toys will stay in Sussex County and be distributed by Project Self-Sufficiency.

Thanks to the generosity of our community and surrounding communities, “Operation Toy Train” collected more than 17,700 toys this year!

Sparta Train Station plans on hosting the Toys For Tots Operation Toy Train for many years to come. Feel free to visit www.toysfortotsnj.com as well as www.facebook.com/OperationToyTrain to get up to date information on this exciting U.S. Marine Corps “Toys For Tots” Event.

Special thanks to all of our generous sponsors...
